Tonight on the way home I stopped by my favorite coffee house to pick up some fresh-roasted beans. They’re one of the only coffee houses in the area that roast their own beans fresh on site.

They had just gotten a shipment of a special Estate Kona bean from a coffee plantation that only produces 1,000 pounds per year. These estate kona beans sold for $65/pound!

Being the coffee lover that I am I couldn’t resist buying some of this amazing coffee. I don’t pull in enough money to throw down for a whole pound but I did buy 1/5th of a pound.

I couldn’t wait to try this coffee, even if it kept me up all night. I just finished grinding some and the aroma alone was almost worth the price. After brewing up a pot in my french press I sat down to enjoy a cup.

I wish you could experience this coffee with me right now. It just doesn’t get any better than this.
