I'm a fan of these kind of real-life-problems in the real world kind of movies. Good acting, a couple funny parts.

Interesting movie that brought up some good topics for discussion with my kids. It almost felt like the producers rode the fence between 'romantic comedy' and 'fairytale' genre. Consequently it slightly lacked as both.

If I were rating it for me? 2. If I were rating it for Chloe? 4.5. So we'll just go with 3 and call it good. Your kid will enjoy it and that's what counts, right?

the august rush soundtrack is sick! love it. have you seen the movie? i would assume so.
i’ve been keeping Fee (formerly Steve Fee) on rotation lately as well as Eddie Kirkland.

An album I have to recommend is the Once Soundtrack. The two musicians are a duo from Ireland and they are amazing! The movie is pretty great too.
August Rush is so good. Go to Itunes and search Kaki King who wrote and plays those tunes. She is awesome.
Story for you guys… I used to be very hard of hearing in one ear and deaf in the other and got a cochlear implant in December. I could hear speech fine but not music. When I saw August Rush it clicked and my brain realized it was music that I used to hear 5 years ago and I sat there in tears knowing I could understand tunes once again! I had Kaki King downloaded 30 minutes after I saw the movie.
NEVER forget how much you enjoy the music!!!!

my daughter and i are gonna watch August Rush tonight. im expecting a great movie based on everyone elses opinion. if not then it sounds like i’ll at least dig the music!
