Ok, how big of a geek does it make me that I TOTALLY would love to buy this Darth Vader costume?

Supreme Edition Adult Darth Vader Costume - $679

This authentic, officially licensed Star Wars product includes the Darth Vader costume jumpsuit with quilted ‘Faux Leather’ pants and sleeves and cape tailored from Lucas Studios original patterns. Also included in the Supreme Edition Darth Vader Costume are heavy injection molded armor pieces cast from the original Lucas Studios molds including collar, shoulder guards, boot tops, chest piece and belt. Is it too early to request this for my birthday/Christmas present?

That’s awesome, but what exactly does one do with an almost $700 costume?

Well, if you had THIS costume you could do just about ANYTHING YOU WANT! I mean really, who’s going to say no to Darth Vader?

  3. Jason Ruggles on June 17th, 2008 10:15 am

And let’s face it - it would go with ANYTHING! I mean, what doesn’t match black?

But if you did get this, you’d have to commit to the dark side….

  4. Brad Ruggles on June 17th, 2008 10:30 am

@Jason - True, black does go with anything. And yes your loyalties would have to lie with the dark side but remember, there’s always “Return of the Jedi” where Vader jumps back over to the Force’s side and kick’s the Emperor’s but.

Are we analyzing this too much?

    Do they make a 5X? :)

    Oh…

I saw the headline, thought of you, and assumed the costume would be “sexy nurse.”

@Kelly - Sorry, looks like only an XL. They must discriminate against larger Vader wannabes

    @ClaytonBell - lol…no, but I could probably rock that too :-)

D’you think it comes with some sort of an internal cooling system? While extremely cool-looking, I fear it would be extremely hot to wear!

I’m not really sure he turned good… I just think he didn’t like to see his whiney son Luke getting beat like a womp rat.

And Brad, DV ALWAYS had the Force. He just went from light to dark.

And yes. We ARE analyzing this too much! :-)

you probably have to be about 6 1/2 or 7 feet tall just to fit it. Isn’t that how tall Vader really is/was?

I thought you wanted to be Spiderman???? Now, I’m confused. If you had a Spiderman costume and I got Paul Darth I am certain no one would come near our beach.

@Jayme - Hey, I’m not going to be picky. I love Spiderman. I could totally rock that costume too! :-)

    Brad,
If you get the costume you can join the Star Wars club here in the Pottstown PA area. Then you can walk in the 4th of July parade with all the other Star Wars fans :)
