Great, aesthetically pleasing design needn’t be limited to traditional architectural forms such as houses and public buildings. Utilitarian spaces, such as car parks, present architects and designers with a unique opportunity to bring beauty and harmony to the everyday functional spaces that are normally ignored by great design minds.

Form and functionality can be combined for ingenious design innovations such as this high-rise garage with a built-in car lift.

Sweeping lines and brightly colored neon lights help create a building that doesn’t just look like a stack of concrete blocks standing on top of the ground.

Fun and unique graphical type treatments help make this garage stand apart from your traditional, boring parking structures.

Great design is all around us and may just show up in the places we least expect.

What areas of your ministry or organization are begging for some fresh design life to be breathed into it?

Wow! That one with the car lift is amazing. Kinda scary. I wonder if you actually ride in your car on the lift? There is NO WAY I’d go for that.

I was going to say the same thing about the car lift…amazing, but it gives me butterflies just to look at it! I’m know you aren’t actually in the car as it’s being lifted, but it’s still a crazy concept!

I’m guessing the UP is placed so that you see it when you need it. That is soooo important for church signage as well.

Timothy Bradford Singletons last blog post..bradsingleton: and you thought the 80’s were back, the gas stations look like 1973 to me.
