Folder Designs for Chloe
POSTED IN: Creativity, Family
Chloe’s teacher sent home a letter asking parents to decorate the cover of their child’s writing folder. We were supposed to decorate it with pictures of things our child liked and topic ideas to help them come up with things to write about.
This is what I came up with for Chloe. It’s totally bright and obnoxious girl colors but she loves it (click the image to view it full-size).

I suppose I could break into the elementary school folder design market with a portfolio like this. I’m sure there are plenty of 6-9 year olds who would totally hire me.
Does anyone know the bottlecap-to-dollar conversion rate?

Hey Brad!
These designs rock! Is there a best-parents-writing-folder-design-price to win?
I’m sure, if there was one, you’d be the lucky one!

@Michiel – No, my reward was the look on Chloe’s face when she first saw the folder.

I am with Adam.
What happened to the good ole days when kids wrote on their folders and put stickers on them? And used crayons???
Now Dad is coming up with Prize winning graphics? hahahah
This really is pretty awesome…so not letting my 5 year old see it or she will expect me to attempt such a feat.
You definitely have more talent in one finger than I do in entirety.

@Reba – The font is a free font called “Action Jackson” that you can download from DaFont – http://www.dafont.com/action-jackson.font
@Nick – The background with the stars is a vector image purchased from http://www.istockphoto.com

I’m pretty sure the conversion rate is in the bottlecap holder’s favor at this point.

Brad,
I noticed the “Hiking in the Mountains” pic. I’ve got an 8 yr old daughter and a 6 year old son, and would love to get them into hiking but haven’t done any of that since kids. We’re west of Atlanta so the beginning of the Appalachian trail isn’t too far away. How did you break your kids in? Something to chat about at Catalyst – not long now!

What a great Daddy! I’m sure all the other kids are saying “Yeah, Mom, you just do it on the computer. It’s super easy; Chloe’s Dad did it!”

Hi!
It seems like the image got lost in the “new-layout-implementation”…
Would love to see it – please bring it back!
