Since I’ve been blogging I’ve seen some pretty amazing run-on sentences (and written quite a few myself). Some posts are so sparse with punctuation that you would think our financial markets have crashed, periods are now the currency of choice and we’re facing a global shortage.

Today we’re going to celebrate that wonderful literary faux-paux called the Run-On Sentence. Let’s throw periods out the window and join those independent clauses!

Here are the Rules:
I’ll start the sentence/story and each of you will pick up where the previous comment left off to continue it. The only catch is rather than completing a thought you have to keep the run-on sentence going and end it with a grammatical conjunction such as for, and, but, or, yet, so, although, before, until, or while. Feel free to keep coming back and add as many contributions to the sentence as you like.

Just be sure to refresh the page before you contribute so you’re continuing the most recent comment!
