wow… this is something that I have to get into. my good friend uses this because her husband is in Iraq. I think eventually we will get it. right now we’re still getting use to our new computer.

I don’t use Skype, but my Mom does. It’s great when your mom and her friends are more tech-savvy than you. lol

At least I’ve one-upped her on texting.

Nothing like watching my in-laws fumble around with technology…800 miles away.

Especially when they fight over who’s got more room on the camera. Priceless!!!

To get back to the point of you asking about Skype… I kept in touch with my then girlfriend who was in Korea for a year. I’m glad we had the chance to talk endlessly because she’s now my wife!

We tried Skype when our son was on exchange in New Zealand — really in hopes of keeping in good contact that way — but it wouldn’t work for us. The connections in New Zealand were not good at all — old dial-up modems, I think. Big disappointment. I guess we need to get back on Skype now though. Sounds like fun.

We LOVE Skype too!! Since we moved 2 hours away from my family and all our friends and have a new baby, it is great to be able to video chat with people all the time! I talk to my mom and sister-in-law a few times a week. My Mom is so excited to be able to watch her grandson using Skype. When she calls me I put the camera in front of the baby and she and I talk...it's a GREAT technology! Linny Bests last blog post..Sweet Baby Moments
