It’s Rude To Stare
POSTED IN: Randomness

(ht: CakeWrecks)
Hey, my eyes are up here! Don’t you know it’s rude to stare? Even if the baby shower cake is modeled after the mom-to-be.
I think this cake would liven up your average baby shower. I mean, just watching a room full of women in flamingo capris and sun dresses trying to compliment, much less cut, this cake would be a sight to see!
“Why, Doris,” (looking at the mom-to-be) “it…uhh…looks just like you. Um, I mean…would you like a slice of boobie?”

OK, I’m going to say what I’m thinking. That sometimes gets me in trouble, you know? I wonder if they went for accuracy and made it red velvet…
If they did, well, that’s just wrong.

Actually, it was an actual shower cake. I couldn’t believe it myself. Pretty funny, huh?
And yeah, I can only imagine the conversations a husband/wife would have. I know you’re not supposed to check out another woman…but what about a cake? Is there something in the Bible about that?

Wow…I like that they are showing God’s natural process of developing food for the the developing baby inside of the round tummy. A creative way to show God’s sovereignty in creation! And to honor the baby-mama.

You don’t have to say, “It looks just like you”; in fact you don’t have to say anything at all. If you do, and you’re a girl, say, “How cute!” or something along those lines, get your slice, and keep yourself out of trouble. lol

This is wonderful…I especially like the C/S comment. I teach childbirth classes and am writing a pregnancy and childbirth book and may need to borrow this story.
Found you from MPT’s blog.
Cheers!
