Praying Backwards Tonight

Join me tonight over at RagamuffinSoul at 9:30 PM EST for PRAYING BACKWARDS:  A night of prayer for our nation. That’s right, an live, video-streaming online prayer service.

Prayer for our nation and its leaders.

Republican and Democrat.

Some of you are voting for McCain.

Some of you are voting for Obama.

Regardless of your political affiliations we can all agree that our nation needs prayer. We’re told that the “King’s heart is in the hand of the Lord” (Proverbs 21:1). We’re also told that no matter how much we plan for something (like an election), the ultimate outcome belongs to God (Proverbs 21:31).

So join me tonight at 9:30 PM EST for this live streaming video prayer service as we pray for our country, its leaders and this election.

Sure, you may miss part of the SNL Election bash.

But this is more important. It’s time to pray.

I love my family more than anything but I still struggle to keep my passions and priorities in order. I’m passionate about the Church, its influence on culture, and making it better. I’m constantly challenging the process - examining what I do, why I do it and its relevance in today’s progressive culture. read more
