Something We Can All Do
POSTED IN: Culture
It’s election day.
Many of you did what Lisa and I did and cast your ballots already with the early voting. Some of you had to stand in long lines this morning (did you already get your free coffee?). Some of you will be taking a long lunch break.
There’s not any easy solutions to the problems our nation faces. Regardless of who takes office next we’re in for some major changes.
There may not be an easy answer but there is something we can all do.
We can all vote. We can all let our voice be heard.
We can all pray.

Dale and I waited in line at the Election Board in Tulsa on Saturday to vote…the line was only a little more than an hour and wrapped around the building next door and down the street…Santa Clause was on the corner picketing for Obama…and Caedmon got his very own “I Voted” sticker…good family memory.

I voted early last week. The line looked long, but it only took us about 10 minutes to get in and out. I love the freedom we have to vote and to do it without fear of intimidation or force from a military presence. Its a great day to be an American!

Normally there are NO people waiting in line. Today there were 200 ahead of me. Waited nearly an hour to vote. In the rain. It was worth it of course.
