Weekend With Friends in 90 Seconds

Thanks to Carlos for the idea behind what is my new favorite short-video format. Simply capture 2-second clips throughout the day and edit them together with no transitions or soundtrack. Nothing fancy. It’s a novel idea with very interesting results.

So for my first 90-second video project, here’s a short video from this past weekend. Our friends BJ & Cherith came down from Fort Wayne to visit us. We had a great time hanging with them.

Hey Brad, that’s pretty cool…but was it weird walking around with a camera all weekend? Tell us what it was like!

It really wasn’t that weird. I have a little Kodak V1253 that fits in my pocket so it’s easy to pull out and snap 2 second little video clips. The only thing was trying to remember to keep pulling it out for memorable moments. There were a few I forgot.

Really cool idea, Brad. I bet family really appreciates this kind of thing too! It’s also a good idea to leave the background music off. Sometimes it’s better to keep it raw.

I love my family more than anything but I still struggle to keep my passions and priorities in order. I’m passionate about the Church, its influence on culture, and making it better. I’m constantly challenging the process - examining what I do, why I do it and its relevance in today’s progressive culture. read more
