A Brief History Of The Internet
POSTED IN: Blog Posts, Technology, Videos
We’re on it every day. It’s an infrastructure that spans geographical, economic and cultural barriers. The Internet generates more new information in a single day than a person was likely to come across in his entire lifetime 200 years ago.
But where did it come from? How did it start? This is a great video history, from time-sharing to filesharing, from Arpanet to today’s Internet and World Wide Web.

It was a little techy for me, but cool animations and history. Thanks for introducing me to Lykke Li by the way, it’s got a few of my favorite songs on it. “Little Bit” is very fun, have you seen the video for it?

My score on this little exam was +3.
I think everyone at one point in time used the 50 free hours from AOL and then sat on the phone for 50 hours to cancel the service.

in september 1994 (my freshman year of college) i was told by my math professor that i had to go onto the world wide web to get my homework assignment. i had no clue what he was talking about. So i stumbled into a computer lab, asked the TA there for some help, and the rest is history.

And by the way, I think I should get extra points for the fact that we used Prodigy in 1992 to find facts about our upcoming Disney trip. +10 should suffice.
