Which FRIEND Are You?

Which FRIEND Are You?

FRIENDS was by far my favorite television show from the 90s and probably my favorite sitcom ever. I don’t think there has been a show before or since with such well-written, funny, relatable characters. Ross’s spray-on tanning? Phoebe’s torrent of swearing at the Pac-Man arcade? Chandler’s job? I’m thinking I may have to re-watch a few episodes tonight.

Chances are, there’s a FRIENDS scene or quote is applicable for nearly every situation.

So here’s today’s question. Which character on FRIENDS are you most like and why?

Chandler, Monica, Ross, Phoebe, Rachel or Joey?

I would have to Chandler b/c i seem to start saying something I should not, but make it worst trying to fix it….

and Thanks You Brad for making me 10 mins late watching that clip above :)

@Mike – Ha ha, sorry to make you late. :-)

I’ll join in on this. I think I’m most like Chandler – sometimes less than manly tendencies and working a job that no one can quite remember or describe.

No way! My roommate decided to embark on a quest to watch all Friends episodes from beginning to end this weekend. I decided to join along and forgot how absolutely funny that show was.

Even though he’s a dude (albeit a “less than manly” dude – I just watched the one where his coworker thinks he has a “certain quality”), I’d have to say I’m most like Chandler the cynic and the wisecracker.

I own all 10 seasons and find myself quoting a lot of Friends in every situation. People often look at me and can quote right along, or look at me like I am strange! Just the other day we were moving Andrew’s bed and I looked at DH and said, “Ok, we’re going to LIFT…..and SLIDE” He didn’t skip a beat and said, “but first we have to PIVOT!”

I think I am most like Monica……I am a clean and organizational freak and I like to cook….though I don’t have her competitive side!

I don’t know why this is, but in my unofficial polling over the years, most guys relate with Chandler. (myself included)

Maybe it’s the lackluster skills with the ladies (on this one, I’m talking about other guys), or maybe its the desire to be the funny one in a group, or maybe they don’t want to be dumb like Joey or …uh, weird? like Ross.

Oh, btw, we just watched the Ms. Chandler Arcade last night!

I LOVE friends! I own every episode, the anniversary book and more ;) I even have the print that was in Monica & Rachel’s apartment.

I think I am a little like Rachel and a little like Monica. I have alot of their strengths and alot of their weaknesses :)

    Easy. Ross. :)

And the couch-moving scene should be mandatory viewing for anyone pitching a sitcom to a network.

I would have to say I think I am most like Ross. Until I met my wife, I had a horrible record with women, not that I didn’t get the “ladies” I just couldn’t keep them around.

Although I probably have Joey’s sense of humor…

I know this is horrible….I’m not guy….not even close….tend to be girly…yet still relate to Chandler(much like Jay, muhaha). I think mainly because I’m extremely sarcastic. Plus, my dancing skills are equally as “good,” and I am have very…what was it Jay said?…lackluster skills with the ladies(in my case guys). All this being said though, Chandler is arguably the most endearing Friends character, and I proudly lift my chin, and say I am definitely the most like Chandler.

I am definitely Ross. I’ve had many friends tell me this and I can be quite nerdy at times. I also get excited about things very quickly (like Ross) and am a little OCD. I’ve never had a spray-on tan though.

And to make things even more hilarious…my sister is Monica through and through.

i love me some friends. i think the bagpipe scene is one of my all-time favorite.

i don’t know which friend i’m most like. right now i’m leaning toward monica because i can way too easily fixate on things, and that competitive streak? yeah. got that, too.

I totally agree with your love of Friends…the characters are the greatest.

I’ve been told I am a Monica…although I don’t keep a ridiculously clean house…I am uber organized and have weird tendencies like her…I’ve even been known to alphabetize a spice cabinet here and there…what?! it makes the nutmeg easier to find!

How did I miss this post?? Judi and I have always held Friends as our favorite show. It is actually one of the main reasons we hit it off before we were dating.

After watching the ten seasons numerous times I feel like I relate in many certain ways to all of them. But if I had to choose one I think it would have to be Chandler. It’s my lack of athletic ability.
