@Carrie - You're the second person to recommend PureNRG to me. I downloaded a few of their songs over the weekend and the girls loved them. They especially loved their cover of "Footloose."

@Kassie - Wow...Bullfrogs & Butterflies. Now THAT takes me back!

BJ! My mom would do the same thing!! But she would also sing "Good morning! Good morning Good morning! Its time to rise and shine!" I think it was off the Bullfrogs and Butterflies album. It was fun at first...but got old after a while. Brad, I think it would definitely be a kid-pleaser if you can find it. :)

In Grace Kids Company we love PureNRG! We have made 2 music videos to their songs. I would guess that Chloe and Emily would like it.

U2's 'Beautiful Day' would be my pick for wake up songs.

OK... I am defending myself. It was early in the morning when I commented about John Mayer. He may not be "perky"... that was a bad choice of words... He is upbeat. There... how's that. And no matter what.. John Mayer is the best to listen to not matter the feeling!! Haha..

And I agree with April. Jack Johnson's Banana Pancakes is a great song. And child friendly. :)

My mom, the crazy woman would bust in the room on the only day I could sleep in, Sunday, would you believe that curse. You know since we would go to church every Sunday..... any way that is a very good thing. But she would have the nerve to bust in just a few minutes before we needed to wake up and sing: RISE AND SHINE AND GIVE GOD THE GLORY GLORY.......... I love my mother but this solo of this chorus would last for the rest of the morning as well and on the way to church and the rest is history...oh, in the 80's then we would sing it at church....I'm out

Beautiful Day is a perfect get up and get going song. It has a little kick to it. Positive too.

I like Louis Armstrong's What A Wonderful World in the morning occasionally. A little sappy, but it gets the job done.

Gennaro’s last blog post..6 Steps To A Lucky Chinese New Year
