Your Two-Week Travel Pass

My buddy Curtis just got back from his much-anticipated trip to Ireland. While there I told him to pick me up something unique, a memento of Irish culture. He brought me this authentic Irish-style tweed hat, perfect for getting my Ireland on. And just the other day Barry brought me back some dark chocolate from his trip to the Ukraine (which isn’t necessarily known for its chocolate but should be).

Unfortunately, I’ve only been able to live out my travel obsessions through other people who bring me back cool little pieces of culture from around the world. One of these days though I hope to travel the world and experience the beauty and culture of our amazing planet for myself.

Question for you…

You’ve just been given $2000 and a two-week travel pass to anywhere in the world. You leave next week.
Where would you go?
What would you do?

If I left right now, I’d go to Antarctica (seriously) and see Aurora Australis, the southern version of Aurora Borealis. It is featured in Disney’s Earth movie that comes out tomorrow on Earth Day.

The hat really works for you. Let’s hit up a local Irish pub with our caps sometime.

New Zealand! (although that’s probably not what I’m supposed to say) And, if that $2000 includes plane tickets, I might not get too far :)

Poland… and I’d take a friend with me to explore the history within the cities and the countryside, but the highlight of the trip will be meeting the family I’ve only met through letters exchanged since I was a child.

Or… I’d park myself and a friend in Belize for two weeks and do nothing but relax.

First… I might have to look up the true definition of “relax”… :)

Funny you should ask…..I’m praying about going on a missions trip to the Philippines. I only need $1500.00! It’ll be the first time I’m off of the North American Continent besides that I live in the middle of the pacific.

    “get your Ireland on” Nice!

My wife has been dreaming of going there and I have to say I wouldn’t mind going myself! So if I had 2K I’d head there next week :)

    Sweet hat btw.

    Thailand? FORE SURE!

Someday, though, I need to hit up the Faroe Islands in the North Sea. The pictures of that place haunt me.

I think the South Pacific would be great. Just give me a hut, some drinkable water, white sand beaches and crystal blue water! The 85 degree weather wouldn’t hurt anything either!
