Swine Flu Scare…Again

Swine Flu Scare…Again

The swine flu has been making the new a lot lately. They must have even been talking about it at school because Chloe came home yesterday and told me that her and her friends are washing their hands ten times a day because they don’t want to die from the swine flu. While I don’t want her to be fearful, I may just let this one go a little longer to help out in the hygiene department.

You may not realize but the swine flu threat isn’t really new. The last outbreak occurred in the US in 1976 leading to these public service announcements:

1976 Swine Flu Public Service Announcement

Is this a public service announcement or a trailer for a horror film? You’ve gotta love the dramatic angle they took back then. I think their slogan was “Scare ‘em safe.”

    Gold Brad!

Anyone else think the ‘Swine Flu Epidemic’ is just a distraction from the thing that’s killing more people via suicide each day- this recession?

the spread of AH1N1 or Swine Flu is really scary. It is a good thing that this virus is not very deadly. We are advised to take Vitamin-C and to wear face masks.

the use of face masks and boosting your immune system by taking lots of vitamin-C is still an effective way of preventing the spread of the Swine Flu virus.
