What Song Gives You Chills?

Are there any songs that, when you listen to them, instantly give you chills? I’m talking the kind of song where your goosebumps have goosebumps. One of those songs for me is 9 Crimes by Damien Rice. I’ve listened to that song over and over and it has the same effect every time. So hauntingly beautiful. Also, almost any version of Hallelujah (originally by Leonard Cohen) gives me chills (my favorites are by Brandi Carlile & Elisa).

Another song that has spoken to me through the years has been The Silence of God by Andrew Peterson. I’ve been moved to tears many times by the beautiful lyrics, especially during rough times in my life when it felt like God wasn’t there. I’ve actually got goosebumps just thinking about it as I type this.

What song gives you chills?

I’m not sure if you were at CityCom during the “Creating Space” service… but when we were playing “How Great is Our God” and transitioned into the chorus of “The Stand” I seriously almost dropped my bass, I was shaking so hard :) That was an awesome service.
