We have NaNa and PaPa and also Mimi and Popsy. We like rhyming names.

Our friends who are new grandparents are Lovie and Pops ... which I think is hilariously cute.

With 7 kids and probably a ton of grandkids in the horizon who knows what they'll call us. Hopefully, we won't find out for 10 more years. My 20 yr old is too young to have kids.

I'm thinking it will be Grammy & Pops perhaps.

My kids have three sets of grandparents due to my husbands parents divorce. They have a Nana and Papaw, Grandma and Grandpa and Mimi and Pawpaw Gene. My grandparents were Nana and Grandy and Papaw. My husbands always called his Grandma and Grandpa. The hard part comes when cousins use different names. We were having cake for my dad's birthday and had to stretch out the name part to include-"dear daddy, jerry, d, papaw and grandpa" Yikes

Just to clarify what my wife Rachel said above - my grandfather on my dad's side was French Canadian, so we called him "Pepere", which is an informal French version of "grandfather". But, since most of my family doesn't speak French, it ended up sounding like "Peh-PAY".

My grandmothers were both grandma or Gram. Didn't know either of my grandfathers, but I'm sure it would have been grandpa or gramp.

Had a friend who's kids called them bomma and poppa.

If I should ever have grand kids I wouldn't care what they call me, as long as they visit me in the "home".
