Catalyst 2009 – On Your Mark

That’s right boys and girls, it’s Catalyst time! October is an amazing month. First, because it’s my birthday, but second, and only slightly less well known, is that October 7-9 marks the convergence of thousands of leaders in Atlanta for the leadership event of the year.

You’ve heard me talk about Catalyst a lot on this blog and that’s because I’m a firm believer in the incredible life-changing potential of this event.

Hype and hoopla?
No way Jose.
Says who?
Says me.

My First Catalyst in 04

The year was 2004 and I was attending my first Catalyst in Atlanta. I came out of a legalistic past with a whole lot of baggage and misconceptions. My stereotypes of the church were shattered at Catalyst that year as I experienced just how diverse and amazing the body of Christ is.

In the Gwinett arena, thousands of people with diverse backgrounds, denominations and theology joined together to worship and grow as leaders. The little box I had put God’s church in all of a sudden didn’t fit.

Catalyst 2004 was a milestone for me in my Christian walk. It permanently changed me as a leader. Every Catalyst I’ve attended since then has had a profound impact on my walk with God and growth as a leader.

And that’s why I want you to go with me this year. If you’ve never been to Catalyst, 2009 is the perfect year to go. You’ll have the opportunity to interact with over 12,000 next generation leaders in a fully immersive, learning and creative experience.

LIMITED 24 Hour Special Price – Only $229

Catalyst has agreed to offer a special registration price of $229 to my readers. This is a savings of $90 off the single-admission ticket cost! This is a limited special that is only valid through today. To purchase your tickets, call (888) 334-6569 to speak with the Catalyst Concierge team. When you call, mention my blog to receive the discounted rate of $229. Note: You have to call in order to get this price. You cannot get it when you order online.

I’m looking forward to another amazing year this year at Catalyst and can’t wait to meet you there.

Are you attending Catalyst this year? If so, leave a comment to let me know.

Are you going to do a blogger’s meet-up again this year? If so let me know since I am an Atlanta resident.

The last sentence was supposed to say, “since I am an Atlanta resident I can help if you need anything.”

I will be there. This makes 10 in a row.

I too have been impacted every year, but never as much as the first year. Each year continues to give me a shot in the arm as I work to shed my preconceptions of what the church should look like!
