Happy Eater: Cute or Creepy?

Happy Eater: Cute or Creepy?

POSTED IN: Blog Posts, Cute or Creepy?

I found this vintage ad of a kid eating spaghetti. The kid is cute but he looks way too happy than anyone should be when eating spaghetti. Kinda makes me wonder if he’s up to something. What are you hiding little freckle-faced boy?

What do you think? Cute or Creepy?

I am not sure what looks more creepy in this image; the kid or the plate of spaghetti. And is that a plate of sliced bananas sitting there in front of him? Dessert perhaps? I do like his tie, though. I am going to have to say this fits the category of creepy.

All I can think about is how quickly that starched shirt, dry-clean-only sweater, and perfectly tied tie are about to be covered in sauce! Ummm…creepy!

I can’t vote either way but I do have a question: what parent in their right mind would allow a kid to eat spaghetti in a sweater and a tie? And those things in his hands look like that toast they give teething babies.

The kid is cute. What’s not creepy, but disgusting is that he’s got a glass of milk to drink. Milk with spaghetti? Blech.

Whats creepy is his right hand. The left one looks normal for a kid, the right one – not so much.
