The Incredible Unipotamus

My friend Curtis has one of the most fantastical imaginations I know of. When I heard of a web site contest for who could come up with the most original fantasy creature I immediately thought of him and told him about it. Unfortunately he didn’t win (I think the contest was rigged) but his fantasy creature was too awesome and fantastical to be left in the closet. I asked him if I could introduce all of you to his creature and he agreed. Be kind though, he’s a little shy (the creature that is, not Curtis).

Meet the…Unipotamus!

Even funnier than the Unipotamus is what Curtis wrote about it:

This rare, enchanted fantastibeast
Will take you to new heights,
Billions of feet in the air,
Where only clouds and wishes live!

Let your dreams take flight
on the sweaty wings of the Unipotamus!

Ohh! Oh! Can I ride the Unipotamus? Please? I want to soar billions of feet in the air where only clouds and wishes live!

Some people stop having fun and using their imagination when they leave grade school. I’m glad people like Curtis haven’t had all the creativity educated out of him.

If I could make any creature I would…

First, mix a wombat and an ocelot to make a wombocelot.

Then, mix a monkey and a hippopotamus to make a monkapotamus.

Finally, I would mix both of those to create a wombocemonkapotamus.

Which I think would be quite cute. And rule the world.
