Surprised Monkey: Cute or Creepy?

Surprised Monkey: Cute or Creepy?

POSTED IN: Blog Posts, Cute or Creepy?

I kinda think this little guy is just faking surprise. It’s like someone just told him, “Hey little monkey, did you hear Microsoft just came out with a new model of Zune?” And he is like, “Really? Oh my gosh! I need to get my little primate butt over to Best Buy and get one before they’re all sold out!”

Maybe it’s his how he’s mocking me with his eyes that’s upsetting…or the fact that he has better teeth than I do…

I think thats a creepy looking monkey. He doesn’t look surprised he looks fake. Maybe like if it a drawing. But it’s not cute.

One thing I don’t agree with is that the money is creepy. His expression shows great character and some intelligence. Clearly he is alarmed but not particularly frightened. I think it is because his expression is so human that so many people perceive him as creepy. Anyway, if we cut out the sugary things we would all have teeth like him…

The thumbnail misled me into believing a surprised monkey was indeed cute, but when I saw that larger photograph, I changed my mind instantly! CREEPY CREEPY CREEPY.
