LOVE this post! I have a moment several times a week where I step and think “WOW! What an amazing God we serve.” I love that I can look back and laugh at all of the holy crap moments I’ve had. In all honesty, I think my whole life is a holy crap moment when I look at the person I am on my own and what God accomplishes through me everyday.

A few years back my wife and I heard God call us to Vancouver BC for me to live out a dream of running a youth center. In order to do this we needed to sell our house, quit my job, find an apartment, and raise $30,000 dollars, and we only had 5 months to do it.
We had someone knock on our door and ask if we were interested in selling our place, which was not even on the market yet. We said yes, and gave our price. She left and told us she would get back to us. She did, 45 min. later and our house was sold for $1500 more than we asked. That was just the start of the HOLY CRAP adventure, and the rest all fell into place within three months. It was a great ride.

I read your blog alot but I’m not a comment leaver for the most part but I will say that I created my own “Holy Crap!”moment last month … I quit my 9-5 Design job to go 100% freelance … so the “Holy Crap!” came from Chelan’s mouth when I told her. It’s so much more liberating to live by faith huh? Great quote, “Fear is faith in the wrong kingdom!”

This might be my favorite post of yours!

Well, my Holy Crap moment came about 9 years ago. I had a great job, but my wife and I had a TON of debt. One day, my company decided to let go of 2/3rds of the sales force which I was apart of. LUCKILY I escaped the layoffs and had a Holy Crap moment. At that moment Dave Ramsey became my new best friend.

We got wired about FPU and paid off an insane amount of debts. Just after becoming debt free, about 3 months, I got bought out of my company. That Holy Crap moment instead became a Yea Hoo moment that has now led me to a wonderful career and a lifestyle that is much less stressful.

I cannot imagine what would have happened if I would have been fired that one day, not looked to Ramsey for great lessons, changed my direction and well everything else that followed…

you’ve come a long way. love watching you walk in the favor of God.

my biggest holy crap of late is seeing what God is doing with my pain and heartache. He is making life out of my brokenness and all i can say is “holy crap!”
