Christmas Memories

Christmas Memories

This year we had one of the best Christmases we’ve ever had as a family. Since I wasn’t blogging then I thought I’d share some pictures.

We visited Santa at the Indianapolis Children’s Museum again this year (I give this Santa a 94 – appropriately overweight, good costume and a real beard). We had to keep hushing Emily while we were in line because she was rather loudly complaining that he didn’t look like the real Santa Clause (“You sit on a throne of lies…You smell of beef of cheese“).

Christmas morning was fun and relaxed. Like any good parent we gave implicit instructions not to wake us up before 7:30 on Christmas morning.

Chloe is going to be a great mom when she grows up. Look how good she is at multitasking – playing the Wii while holding our friend’s baby.

Guess whose idea the Santa hats were? Hint…it was the only person not wearing one…

What’s the best gift you gave/received this year for Christmas? Favorite Christmas memory?

My wife and I didn’t get each other anything this year, we had a great time watching the kids get excited as they opened their gifts. My wife took them to the dollar store so they felt like they got us something. My 6 year old got me my 3rd or 4th tape measure and a cheap hand saw for tree branches, my 3 year old got me a flashlight. It was fun showing excitement for their gifts and seeing them smile like they accomplished something great :)
