That’s….that’s….AWESOME!!!

I got a kick out of Ashton Kutcher’s opening monologue for SNL last week. In it he talks about how much more mature he is now and is convinced that he won’t get carried away and say that everything is “awesome.”

But even the most mature of us can be distracted by awesome awesomeness. After all, what could be more awesomer than Superman and Mark Twain drinking a daiquiri with a Stormtrooper bartender? (video below)

I think the reason I got such a kick out of that monologue is because I can totally relate. In today’s age of YouTube viral videos and sites like FAILBlog and People of Wal Mart, it’s hard not to get carried away and call everything “awesome.”

So let’s throw off our cloaks of maturity for a moment (what? don’t you have one?) and have some fun. What have you seen lately that was truly AWESOME?

Wow, those are awesome! I wish I lived far enough north to be able to take pictures like that. Then again, I’m already wishing for Summer to get here so I probably wouldn’t last long.

I honestly watched the previews for ‘Airbender’ something like 10 times. I couldn’t believe it was M. Night Shamaylan, much less a kids movie. Did you see that kid kicking everyone’s butts with water and fire and stuff? Awesome.

Actually, no, I haven’t seen that yet. Will definitely have to check it out…I’m a sucker for movie trailers. Once I head over to http://www.apple.com/trailers/ I get sucked right in.

Watching the opening ceremonies, no matter how boring. To see all these nations together, under one roof. No guns, no boundaries, no looks of hate. No words. Just the human race coming together peacefully for 14 days.

6″ of snow here in Augusta, GA over the weekend. That only happens (if it happens) about every 10 years, so I’ve only seen that much snow here twice.

Jen – YES! I completely agree. That movie was pretty gosh-darn awesome (especially in IMAX 3D)

    John – lol…I hadn’t seen that one before. That’s awesome. I love the ending…”I’m on a horse”
