Summer is in full swing and I couldn’t be happier. There is nothing quite like the smell of fresh-cut grass mixed with the smell of steaks or hamburgers cooking on the grill. Mmmmm….

I bring my grill in the garage in the Winter and keep it going all year long but Summer… that is when the good stuff happens. That’s when I stand out on my deck Mexican beer in hand and grill up some chicken, bell peppers and slices of brown-sugar-glazed pineapple for my amazing Huli Huli Chicken…or carefully sear a nice thick flank steak to perfection while salted potatoes are baking in the oven…or put together long skewers of shish kabobs with chunks of marinated beef and fresh vegetables from the farmers market.

By far though my favorite thing to make in the summer is my specialty BBQ Ribs.

I’m a humble guy but I don’t pretend to have any modesty when it comes to my ribs…they’re good. My process involves a hand-made dry rub, overnight marinating, hours of slow-roasting and BBQ basting on the grill. In my opinion, summer doesn’t begin until there are ribs on the grill and a dozen ears of fresh corn boiling in the kitchen. Can I get an ‘Amen’ brothas and sistas?

What summertime meal do you enjoy the most?

    Amen Brad!

    Recipe please?

    Pretty please?

Love summer grilling. Not happy until I’ve singed the hair off my hands getting the fire just right.

By the by, did I ask about the ribs recipe?
