Our Fall Staycation – Turkey Run

We had originally planned on travelling somewhere for Fall Break this past week but decided instead to save some money and stay home for a “staycation.” We talked it over with the girls and figured out where we would go and what we would do (while keeping a few surprises up our sleeves).

On Saturday we drove out to Turkey Run for a family Fall Hike. The weather could not have been nicer! Here are a few pics we took along the way:

Have you ever done a family staycation? What did you do?

Enjoyed the pics! My grown son and I were planning to go to Jackson Hole this weekend to visit my dad but he has advised us not to come because of weather changes. I think I will suggest a “staycation” to Chris — and see what we can come up with closer to home.

We LOVE Turkey Run! You were about 30 minutes east of where we live, and Turkey Run is a favorite destinations. We have almost decided that staycations are better than vacations.

Me and my wife did a staycation this year. The economy has been so hard on my business we just didn’t really have the money to go anywhere. We did decide it was important to spend quality time together. We purchased city passes from citypass.com that gave us entry into 5 great attractions. It was a lot of fun. The important thing for families is to spend time together. A staycation is a great option.
