My Thoughts On Design

I’ve been involved in media and graphic design since 1995. Back then I was designing with Photoshop 3.0 on a computer with 16MB of RAM and a 1GB Hard Drive! Computers and software have changed a lot since then but one thing that hasn’t changed is my love for creative expression and design.

Here’s some stuff you should know about me:

  • I’ve been known to be more interested in the pattern on someone’s shirt than in what they were saying to me.
  • I collect fonts like sports fans collect baseball cards.
  • I’ve bought CDs based solely on the amazing album artwork.
  • If Adobe had its own country I would be an honorary citizen.
  • I organize my desktop more than my sock drawer.
  • I’ve almost rear-ended the car in front of me because I was analyzing the design on a billboard.

Creativity is at the core of who I am. Life is art and good art comes out of a life that is lived to the fullest. My designs represent countless hours of anguish, frustration and satisfaction for a completed project. I’ve come a long way but I still have so far to go.

I love my family more than anything but I still struggle to keep my passions and priorities in order. I’m passionate about the Church, its influence on culture, and making it better. I’m constantly challenging the process - examining what I do, why I do it and its relevance in today’s progressive culture. read more
